Thetaware is a web design company although we haven't always done that we have done a great deal of work in the field of mobile devices, starting with the original Psion handheld computers. This continued until Psion changed direction and smart phones became the order of the day and remain so today.
In the mobile phone market there are just too many players so we went a slightly different route, realising that that all these new devices were internet ready, but not many websites are easily viewed on a smart phone, although this is changing, with the recent (relatively speaking) release of modern technology we turned to building websites that were compatible and user frendly on all
device screen sizes from desktops to smart phones.
In the beginning not an easy task when you consider the number of different screen sizes floating around today, but clever modern technology helps us get around that issue.
Another consideration, a very important one, is that now search engines like Google check if you website is mobile friendly and if you're not this can affect your ranking. Google has taken into account that there are far more internet searches from mobile
devices than desktops.
