Description
Play Group for 18month to 4 year old children. Small group run from private home by Qualified nurse. Established in 1996. Breakfast and lunch provided." Music Box " music and movement program and " Action Ball " Sport program offered as extra mural activities. Open 7am to 2pm weekdays. Home from home and comfortable stepping stone to formal pre-school. All areas of development are covered through an educational program still allowing for lots of fun play and socializing. Potty training provided. Staff ratio 1:3.

Work Programme
Monday = Auditory stimulation.
On this day we sing, play instraments, learn nursery rhymes and discuss our
weekend. Teaching children to speak freely in the classroom. It’s a noisy
but exciting and fun day of learning. Coach Kim comes to do a comprehensive Music appreciation and movement class with all the children.
Tuesday = Gross Motor stimulation
On this day Coach Desiree comes at 9am to do "Action Ball" with all the children to help develop their greater muscles, develop sport skills, help with balance, ball skills and fitness.
Wednesdays = Creative play
On this day we do all sorts of art and creative masterpeices. Drawing, colouring, sticking with glue and playdough fun.
Thursday = Fine Motor stimulation
On this day we build puzzles, play pegboard games, sort shapes, thread beads and do general educational activities that strenghthen finger muscles and help them to cross over the mid-line.
Friday = Shareday
Children bring yummy treats to share with their friends. They will learn
good manners and how to share. We also practice for our end year concert each Friday singing songs according to the theme of the concert.
Times:
Official times are 7.30am to 1.30pm.
Parents may drop off 7am & pick up no later than 2pm.
Fees:
5days per week = R2300pm over 11 months
3days per week= R1900pm
2days per week=R1700pm
Play Group closes for one week in each provincial school holiday and for the whole of the December Holidays.
Playgroup routine
7am till 8.30 : Free play/watch Tv.
8.30: Breakfast is served (hot or cold cereals)
8.45 till 9.00 : Play with toys in the classroom
9.00: Tidy up time
9.15 till 10.30: Work according to theme day.
10.30 till 11.40: Play time outside
11.40: Lunch is served (Cooked balanced meal)
12noon: Clean, wash, toilet time before nap
12.15 till 2pm: Nap time till they are collected.
