Prevention of injury can be achieved by professional assessment from your physiotherapist. This will include assessment of any biomechanical abnormality (e.g. weaknesses, tightness, malalignment, and neurodynamics) which could lead up to injury, but if found in time, the correct tools can be given to change the outcome and prevent injury. If an injury has already occurred, treat the cause, not the symptom. Physiotherapy aims at finding the underlying cause of your pain and correcting that abnormality as opposed to just treating pain.
