Strandfontein lies west from the N7, exit Vanrhynsdorp, 75 km's good tar road to the Coast. Strandfontein has a small supermarket, but take special things from the Vredendal shops and have your tank filled. To find your beach house is easy. The house with the bright blue roof that is nearest to the Ocean. It has an open plan dining room / lounge, four bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a stoep, a carport and braai facilities. In the house you'll find everything you need. Things to do except enjoying the beach and the Ocean? No problem. Go to Lambertsbaai to visit the famous Bird Isle and to eat fish. Go to Doringbaai to buy crab from the fishery, for a glorious meal at home. Go to Vredendal to taste and buy wine. Go to Vanrhynsdorp to admire the hundreds of cacti of the Cactus Nursery. But why don't you stay at home, on your stoep, listening to the Ocean and to the seagulls, having a drink, reading something not tiring, vaguely thinking about the heavy braai-job that
