Description
From a loyal group of interior decorators, the company has grown its market share. ST LEGER & VINEY is now an important player in the following markets: the decorator trade, the hospitality industry, the architectural profession, specifiers and manufacturers, and ranks among the leading wholesalers in the country.
ST LEGER & VINEY’S staff complement is currently sixty strong with a dedicated sales team, customer service division and warehouse team. John-Andrew Ovenstone, the son of a founder of the company, and Gary Searle are the Executive Directors. Tony Matias runs the purchasing and warehouse departments. Michele Rauff heads up Customer Services, and Lize Jansen van Rensburg is the company’s Brand manager and product developer.

The Cape Town branch of ST LEGER & VINEY is managed by Janine Fuller and Durban branch by Liz Darrol. In Port Elizabeth our products are available through Aiden McKenzie at PC Agency.
ST LEGER & VINEY is in a dynamic growth phase and has exciting plans to expand its business footprint through innovative yet classic product, through enhanced customer service and the development of its staff.
ST LEGER & VINEY was founded in 1989 to offer decorative furnishing fabrics and wallpaper to the trade in South Africa. Gary Searle the Managing Director and his co-founders believed an opportunity existed to provide high-end classic design at competitive prices.
Initially the company’s product was entirely locally sourced, however, materials were soon developed with overseas weaving mills and printers to broaden the range available and meet the demand for the company’s signature look.
The next development was the establishment of ST LEGER International to house the company’s international agency business.
Today ST LEGER & VINEY proudly represents some of the most prestigious brands in the world and distributes: Cole & Son, Elitis, GP & J Baker, Kravet, Lee Jofa. Lizzo, Mulberry, Parkertex, Ralph Lauren, Raoul, Warwick and Zoffany among others.
