complaint (lack of service)
Major R. Hilliar, 13 years ago
I dropped off my Flight jacket to get cleaned on Wed28/08/2013 . I told the gentlman behind the counter that i needed this item to be collected aat lunch time on Friday 30/08/2013.He said fine.
Friday 12h30 comes and i make a trip into Durban to collect it only to find that the shop is closed for Mosque until 13h30.
I found it very annoying only because of the fact i was not told , that the shop was going to be closed , at the time i needed to collect my item.It had been paid for already , and withe the receipt in hand i tried to get the attention of the employees inside , but only to be ignored as if i was not there. All i had to do is collect my item , there was no payment i owed , and i also did not care for the receipt. .My problem is that , i am being deployed back to Saudi Arabia at 15h00 as i am a pilot, and i cannot depart unless i have my jacket as it is my uniform. i tried to explain that to the people inside , but they did not care whatsoever. What great service levels shown here.(not)
I have to now make a change to my deployment schedule , because of a lack of decent service.Shame on you.

This is totally incorrect. From inception in 1950, this business has been closing every Friday for Mosque from 12:00pm to 1:15pm, and we have sufficient signage on our shop front, informing the public accordingly. The Major dropped off his jacket on Wednesday 28 Aug 2013 and wanted it the next day, being Thursday 29 Aug 2013. The garment was ready as scheduled and he failed to collect it on time. At 12:05pm, after the staff had left for lunch and I drove off with the shop keys, he comes rushing to the store demanding the manager who was on a quick smoke break outside, open up and serve him. The manager informed him that he could not open because he did not have the keys and politely asked him to come in at 1:15pm when we reopen. The Major returned later on and mentioned about his impending trip to Saudi Arabia being delayed. I told him that my staff are not telepathic and had no idea that he would fail to collect the jacket timeously as he indicated.
