Specialised powder coating facility is dedicated to high quality production coatings of mass produced pressed, cast and laser cut parts. The process includes a full zinc phosphate and chrome conversion pre-treatment to automotive standards resulting in optimum adhesion and durability.
The factory is centrally located in Maitland and celebrates 26 years in the coating and spinning Industry.
Operates Cape Town's only full CNC (computer numerically controlled) spinning lathe producing a wide variety of spun steel, aluminium and brass components used in the automotive, building and cookware industries. The timeless manufacturing technique offers low tooling cost and quick tool-up times. Spin-Tek undertakes metal spinning ranging from the highly skilled artisan hand spun parts to high production run custom parts for the automotive and commercial industries. The spinning process is by which a disc or tube of metal is rotated at high speed and formed into an axially symmetric part .The material thickness, size and lengths of the run determines if the part is spun by hand or by c.n.c lathe.
