Special Projects
SOUTHERN AIR ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES set up this division taking advantage
of the fact that existing air conditioning systems require specialized
retrofit services. This allows us to completely serve building owners
and the facilities management industry. We provide full mechanical
refurbishment of air conditioning and refrigeration services projects, whether small or large.
This department manages all HVAC systems modifications such as equipment
replacement, central plant refurbishment, system corrections, zone
additions, energy efficiency enhancements, as well as upgrading to
digital control and energy management systems.
We have set ourselves up such that we can provide turnkey services as
the contractor, managing the entire project from conceptual designs to
commissioning. We have worked with various architects, mechanical
structural and electrical engineers, including other specialised
contractors such as electrical, rigging, controls specialists to
complete the most challenging of projects.
We have also devised a self-checking system where the project engineer
is supervised and checked on by other professional engineers from other
departments. Under our managing partner we are responsible for tenders, building surveys, conceptual designs, job estimating, cost budgeting, final pricing, bid - proposals, and final supervision. Our engineering
services department uses the latest computer-aided design and draughting
tools to produce engineered air conditioning and refrigeration layout
plans, schematic
