At Smudge, budding artists jump into a world of creative expression and get lost in the fantasy of their dreams... all while being guided through the wonders of art, music and literature.!
Smudge is a children's creative play centre in Craighall Park, Johannesburg. Built around a central art room, Smudge also offers an interactive music room, book lounge, fantasy dress-up area filled with popular character costumes including Belle, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Power Rangers, Buzz Lightyear and Clone costumes. There is a large party room for your child's birthday party and a beautiful coffee shop offering fresh cakes, pastries and light lunches. We stock all the latest magazines and weekend newspapers which you can read whilst you relax and your children ice their own cupcakes. We have a baby area close by so your little ones can also enjoy some creativity and stimulation.

Smudge also has a craft shop where you can purchase wonderfully creative gifts for birthday parties such as craft boxes, glitter, paint, imported wooden gifts, and much more. We stock SandArt, musical instruments, playdough as well as gorgeous dress-up outfits and accessories.
Aimed at children of all ages, Smudge is a magical environment for children to explore their natural creativity. An environment where the only thing running wild, is a child’s imagination.
Smudge is a wonderful space to have your child's birthday party. All activities are indoors and the space is large and secure. Children choose an art activity they wish to create in advance, qualified artists run your party, we make a special birthday crown and they get to use all the facilities on offer. All this whilst you relax with your friends and family. Please call or email us to enquire further. We can also make invitations which are all hand-painted and decorated.
Smudge can also be booked for school outings, kitchen teas, baby showers or corporate functions.
