Description
SCP began its amazing journey in 1950 with radiology pioneers, Drs CJB Muller and JA Beyers. They later followed each other as the first two Heads of the Department of Radiology at Stellenbosch University.
During these formative years a single X-Ray machine was used for general X-Rays, IVPs and linear tomography. This was indeed the dark ages where dark rooms, wet hanger film development, drying cabinets and tired radiologists, viewing wet films that were delivered during the afternoon (when both patient and doctor had already gone home), formed part of the normal daily routine.

We offer state-of-the-art radiology procedures delivered by highly experienced Radiologists and Radiographers, using modern equipment and the latest technology. SCP is investing in the future of the continuously developing radiology technology through the installation of digital equipment at their various branches.
The world of medical imaging and information systems is rapidly advancing in parallel with the digital world. Radiologists now make use of PACS (picture archiving and communications systems), radiology information systems (RIS), computed/digital radiography, image fusion and other similar applications to enhance their service to you.
Our group of dedicated Radiologists, Radiographers and supporting staff are available to provide you with diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures at our various locations.
