School of Transformation, Boksburg

School of Transformation, established in 2005, is an Umalusi-accredited Grade R–12 school in Boksburg offering a supportive, structured and individualised approach to education. We follow the CAPS curriculum and provide small classes, individual attention and additional academic support for learners who may not thrive in large traditional school environments.

The school offers three educational pathways to meet different learner needs. Our Supportive Mainstream stream provides normal Grade R–12 schooling following CAPS, with learners working towards recognised academic outcomes. Our Bridging stream provides a more adapted learning programme for learners who need additional time, consolidation and support before progressing academically. Our Vocational and Skills-Based stream focuses on practical learning and preparation for the world of work, with areas including Hospitality and Electrical/Electrotechnology skills.

A key part of our approach is our Individualised Education Programme (IEP). Learners who require additional support receive targeted intervention based on their individual areas of need. This may include support with reading, comprehension, mathematics, concentration, study skills and other foundational academic areas. The aim is not simply to identify difficulties, but to give each learner practical support and measurable goals.

School of Transformation also provides access to additional learner support and works closely with parents to monitor progress. We believe that learners develop best when there is strong communication between the school, family and support team.

Dedicated school transport is available for School of Transformation learners across various areas of Ekurhuleni. Transport is designed to make attendance more convenient for families and can accommodate learners participating in school activities.

Our goal is to provide more than one pathway to success. Whether a learner is following a traditional academic route, requires a bridging programme or is better suited to practical vocational education, we aim to build confidence, independence, academic ability and real-world skills in an environment where each learner is known and supported.
