Savannah Sands, Amanzimtoti

I am writing to inform you that while were impressed with the Unit (41) and the facilities in general at Savannah Sands, we were highly disappointed at what went on in the car park adjacent to the building. Every single day, except one (Christmas) we were bombarded with very loud music, hundreds of drunk people screaming & shouting and not to mention underage children drinking in this car park. Worst of all was the pathway from our complex to the beach was being used as a public toilet for these people!!!! On top of that, to wake up in the morning, step out onto the balcony for a view of the sea, only to be confronted by a sea of rubbish, bottles and tons of cats eating the left overs from the previous nights' "party". We could not even sit on our balcony to enjoy the view as there was a constant drone of music from different cars and people shouting. We used the braai facility twice which was very unpleasant as we had these people staring in at us and sitting right against the fence, needless to say we retired back to the flat (doors & windows close of course) to try and enjoy our meal with some sort of peace and quiet. My son is only 2 years old and there were many nights he was woken up by this noise, which carried on until 3am some mornings! I even had to phone the SAPS and Metro Police - but of course nothing was done about this. While I understand that nothing could be done about these people and there public indecency or behaviour - I think it is an utter disgrace to charge people R1520.00 per night, knowing full well what they are in for. I can promise you now that I will never stay at Savannah Sands again, not while this is still allowed to take place as it totally ruined our holiday. And I will also tell everyone I know not to go there either, for that price we could've stayed somewhere else and not had to deal with all that nonsense.
