Ruark du Toit Mosaic Art has been making Mosaic for 4 years. Ruark du Toit Mosaic Art uses tiles, semi precious stones, glass, found objects & mirror pieces to custom create each project. The chosen materials are glued onto the correct surface and then grouted to form the finished mosaic. Texture & color forms an integral and important part of how the finished work looks and presents itself. My favorite medium to work in is Ceramic tiles. I like the smooth texture that ceramic tiles have and specifically use and enjoy pastel colors. I like creating texture with mirror and stones, and enjoy the reflective quality that pieces of mirror offer.
