Description
Rhythm Generation is a non profit music academy focusing on FUSING traditional and contemporary sounds and styles and affording performing opportunities to its members. It's aims and objectives is on exposing and educating young and old about our musical traditions, and changing attitudes towards contributing and sustaining the art form along with more modern trends and genres.
The program of events produced each year comprises of educational programs about its history, workshops and publications, fundraising events like social dancing, concerts and musical theater as well as special programs for the youth. These programs are divided into two sections- One the Musical Academy and the second the Heritage Project.
Although our main focus is on "Preserving, Promoting and Perpetuating" the true Cape sound and style of the Dance Band (Langarm) / Cape Jazz, Xmas Choir Band and New Year Road Band, we ultimately hope to empower our members by providing skills and instill positive values.
