The personnel of R-Data designed and developed a public sector accounting package called PROMUN, which incorporates General Ledger, Creditors, Orders, Cashbook, Stores, Payroll, Human Resources, Costing, Consolidated Debtors, Fixed Assets and Loan Register. PROMUN was developed using Progress RDBMS/4GL allowing superlative end user enquiry tools as well as being a quick and cost effective development medium for on going support and enhancements. The next level of PROMUN was released in 2003 offering customers the facility of easy Microsoft integration as well as browser based enquiries.
R-Data has a reputation of providing a long term relationship with its clients for providing excellent training and support. R-Data currently employ technical/support personnel based in Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Pretoria, and Eastern Cape. R-Data has developed key alliances with companies throughout South Africa to ensure that the high standard of support expected by our customers is met. Sites in Zimbabwe and Zambia are offered first line support by R-Data business partner, Burco Business Solutions.. Part of the standard maintenance agreement is to always have a member of the R-Data team trained on each customer's system. This is enhanced by a computerised help-desk facility that monitors all support calls and queries, to ensure management that all customers are receiving satisfactory service and attention. This help-desk facility gives monthly management reports to our customers' management for keeping track of training requirements and methods.
In addition to the above, R-Data are in demand for providing Progress programming services to a number of clients in Cape Town. This has come about due to the high standard of our programming ability, our up to data technology knowledge as well as the tight quality control that is exercised on all our technical personnel.
