Extensive experience in reproductive medicine, microsurgery, endoscopic surgery, urogynaecology and gynaecological oncology. Leader of the team to perform the first ever ovarian autotransplantation to the axilla.
Developed the only known method (as far as known), to prevent postsurgical ovarian adhesions (Publication: NEL JT, POTGIETER P, NIEMAND I. A prospective randomised controlled clinical trial comparing the effects of a new technique of macrosurgical and microsurgical repair of the human ovarian capsule on peri-ovarian adhesions.
