Pro Roof Steel Merchants has grown to become one of the largest manufacturers of roofing solutions in South Africa. The three most common and popular roofing profiles (Corrugated, IBR, Widespan) used in the roofing industry worldwide, are manufactured in-house at our various service and steel processing centers in South Africa. We can supply all these profiles in both, galvanised and colour coated (painted) finish.
Pro Roof Steel Merchants has acquired a fully automated, state of the art “Welded Beam Line”. This line produces universal columns and beams as well as T-beams in a wide range of sizes for various applications. Beams and columns can be manufactured from 300WA, 350WA, grade 50B and corten material.

Pro Roof Steel Merchants are distributors of a comprehensive range of high quality flat-, and long products via its various service and steel processing centres. The range of products includes; hot and cold rolled sheets and coils, galvanised sheets and coils, commercial quality and certified plates, wear and abrasive resistant plates and coils as well as various long structural carbon steel profiles.
Our various service and steel processing centres in South Africa afford our group the opportunity to offer various value added services to our customers. The following services are available for mainly flat product processing. It must be stressed that the specifications given below is a general and illustrative description of our groups’ value added capabilities.
From humble beginnings in 1988 Pro Roof Steel Merchants has grown to become one of the largest and most prominent steel merchants in Southern Africa. The Codes of Good Practise were gazetted and passed into law on 9 February 2007. This ends a longstanding debate and delay in respect of implementing the practical workings for the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment legislation.The Pro Roof Steel Merchants Group is proud of the fact that most of the steel subsidiaries are BBBEE compliant.
