Prima Box, Strand

Prima Box was started by Edward Horne in 1995 as a corrugated converting plant in the Strand, Western Cape. In 1999 he sold the company to Aries Investment Holdings but by 2001, Prima Box underwent a management buy-out by Edward Horne, Ian Keay, Jose de Abreu and Nadia Lederer. Three years later, and under this new ownership, the board machine was installed to manufacture in-house board to cope with the increased demand and the size of the company.
Today Prima Box is one of the very few independent corrugated board companies in the country. Still situated in the Strand, Prima box keeps abreast of developments in the industry by constantly updating production equipment and technology. Service and Quality are its focus - all production, sales and marketing efforts are geared towards achieving the highest levels of personalized service with quality cartons produced at comparatively short lead times.
