Poona Lodge, Phalaborwa

Accommodation is a lovely thatch lodge and cottage consisting of 9 bedrooms all en-suite. In total we have 22 beds. Full DSTV in the lounge where you can make yourself at home and help yourself to tea and coffee. All rooms are air-conditioned and have overhead fans. Mosquito nets are also provided in all rooms. The extremely comfortable double and three quarter beds, covered in cool cotton percale sheets ensure a nights rest that every weary traveler dreams of. Breakfast is served either in the dining room or out in the garden or around the pool, at anytime between 7am and 10am. Just arrange with Dee the night before as you may want to lie in a bit later after the night before! Or you may require sustenance earlier to be on time for your business appointment. Breakfasts are sumptuous full English with all the trimmings and filter coffee. Evening meals are usually enjoyed under the stars around a blazing wood fire. Traditional Braai and side dishes is the most popular and what better way to spend the evening while chatting and making new friends under the African sky. For larger groups we do a lamb and pork roast on the spit again with delicious side dishes and freshly baked breads. A variety of meals are available so arrange with Dee when making your booking and let her know your taste. Relax at the poolside and enjoy a sundowner at our licensed bar. An evening swim in the pool which is surrounded by boulders and lush gardens is an absolute pleasure in our tropical climate. For the avid sports fans we have a separate DSTV television in the Lapa adjoining the licensed bar where a variety of different ¿coolers¿ can be enjoyed. Additional Facilities We offer safe parking, E-Mail and fax service. Mobile / Cell phone reception for most networks. Arrangements can be made for airport transfers, bookings for activities in the region. Laundry service is available on site. We have ample parking for your 4x4¿s and Ski boats.
