Pieter Stegen, Greytown

Pieter Stegen is a South African baritone, singer-songwriter and recording artist based in KwaZulu-Natal. His music brings together classical vocal roots, country storytelling, pop and musical theatre, with a focus on personal experiences, family and a strong connection to home.

A former student of the Drakensberg Boys Choir School, Pieter draws on his choral background while developing his own voice as a solo artist and songwriter. His original country single, When the Nights Get Quiet, reflects on memories of the choir school, while Called Home is a heartfelt pop tribute to his grandfather. His released recordings also include Mama a Rainbow, a musical-theatre song from Minnie’s Boys.

Alongside recording and performing, Pieter explores choral composition and creative collaborations. He is registered with SAMRO and SAMPRA.

Proudly South African, Pieter creates music rooted in honest stories and the people and places that shape them.
