I share the same sentiments. To get a deposit back is a nightmare and responding to emails is a joke. Ombudsman here we come!

Permanent Trust are a pack of thieves, especially N****** & C*****!!! They cook up bogus figures just to make sure you walk away with zero deposit at the end of your lease. Never making the mistake of renting from them ever again!

I have never experienced such shocking customer treatment as I have from Permanent Trust: specifically managing director E** K********, letting agent J***-L** M****** (who simply never responds to anything) and maintenance person T***** P*******- who simply ignore any and all requests once deposit has been paid.
My rental at Kingslynne, Rondebosch has major structural damage and a serious leaks. Dining room ceiling has almost collapsed. Neighbours have similar problems. Flooding everywhere. No one is ever sent out to repair the leaks.
I would strongly advise that Permanent Trust Co is avoided at all costs- you will be sorry for contracting with them. The company is a scam.
