ORYX desert SALT is a pure natural gourmet salt from the KALAHARI desert of South Africa! This salt is naturally crystal white, unprocessed, unrefined & sun-dried, free from additives and preservatives. ORYX desert SALT contains all the minerals and trace elements salt is supposed to have, as nature created in the perfect balance for your body to absorb and utilise for optimal functioning, vitality & health. It is harvested in the Kalahari desert in South Africa in a remote and pristine area within the Kalahari Basin which covers +- 2.5million km2. An uninhabitable region which is about as pollution free as one can get. It is extracted from an ancient underground brine lake, which is fed by three underground streams, a sustainable and renewable source. It is pumped up, laid on the pan, sun-dried, harvested and packed. A DELICIOUS ALTERNATIVE... taste the difference!

Sustainably harvested
Three underground streams converge in an ancient underground lake. The lake holds +- 55million tons of brine and is totally saturated, which allows the salt to crystallize in +- 4 weeks in the hot summer months. The salt is collected and packed in bags. This process is not depleting the natural source.
Ancient source
The Dwyka rock formations through which the underground streams flow leach the Sodium Chloride (NaCl), minerals and trace elements. The rock strata are geoscientifically tested between 250-300 million years old. Ancient and pure.
Pollution free
The 50km2 salt pan is situated in the Kalahari Desert basin reaching over 2, 5million km2. It is a remote, pristine and uninhabitable area and is as pollution free as one can get.
