Edgars advertised a Mobile phone that takes 4 sim cards for R650 in August 2011 In the add it said nothing about being limited stock or only at advertised stores. I am from East london and travelled as far as Mossel Bay looking for this phone. No Edgars stores had them and only a few stores said they only knew that Jet Stores received them. No phone could be found though. I complained at every store as well as emailling the Edgars group.
Now in Sept 2011 magazine that same phone is advetised AGAIN but only while stocks last and at certain stores only. This was NOT in the Aug 2011 magazine.
After I raised this with Eadgars on email I have not heard a thing from them regarding this matter and complaint.
Can anyone help me as I feel this is misleading advertising. Anyone that can give me some way forwrd is welcome to email me at [email protected]

The office for the Ombudsman for Long-term Insurance was established in 1985 The function of the office is to mediate in disputes between subscribing members of the long-term insurance industry and policyholders regarding insurance contracts It is an independent office which is accountable to an independent Long-term Ombudsman Council for providing an efficient and independent service to policyholders and others in response to disputes arising from long-term insurance policies Policyholders who submit a complaint to the Ombudsman may still decide to follow the conventional civil justice process, although these two processes are not allowed to proceed simultaneously The service is free to complainants Industry subscrib
