Description
Nyala Pans River Lodge is a scenic lodge situated on the banks of the popular Umkomaas River. A simple 25 kilometres from Richmond or a 45 minute drive from Pietermaritzburg aswell as from Durban's Marianhill Toll Plaza.
Company description
We offer various leisure activities, as well as catering for adventure-sport lovers. These activities include yellowfishing, canoeing, swimming, tubing, birdwatching, hiking, mountain-biking and tree-spotting. Horse riding and game viewing can be arranged. In September 2005, we hosted an enormously successful
"Yellow Fishing Competition", and needless to say that this will become an annual event. Water conditions were superb and anglers were blown away by the quality of the fight and the catch. All fish were returned to the water in line with conservation ethics. The colour, size and beauty of the fish has coined a new expression: "Natal Gold".
