NIC Instruments and Engineering (Pty) Ltd has developed a reputation in industry for the exclusive well known product brands it represents and the back up service offered with branches in Secunda, Vanderbijlpark, Rustenburg and Natal. Other areas are serviced with a distributor network.
A Trust which owns 30 % of the Company was registered in early 2005 .
The members of the trust are the historically disadvantaged members of our staff working at NIC. Dividends paid out will be used to fund upliftment through education and other social and community programs.
Company description
NIC has fully committed, dynamic, competent instrumentation personnel with extensive experience, exposure and expert knowledge to take full responsibility for the different facets on a project. The expert knowledge is in Engineering Design, Construction, Commissioning, QA/QC, Maintenance and Consultant Support of the following instrumentation facets:
DCS’S, PLC’S, and SCADA Systems, Instrument Selection and System Design, Optimisation of various Control Systems, Engineering Proposals, FMEA/HAZOP Studies, Area Classification, Flow Calculations, Control Valve Sizing, Cause and Effect Matrix, SABS Approvals, Sequence Events Monitoring, Fibre Optic Linking, Remote Control, Data Acquisition and Telemetry, Cable Scheduling, Panel Layout, Logic Diagrams, System Integration (PLC’S and SCADA)

Supply and Installation of Instrumentation and Control in the Process Industry.

Electrical and Instrumentation Construction Division
In March 1988 Nic Instruments and Engineering (Pty) Ltd formed a new division and named it NIC Electrical and Instrumentation Construction which is situated at the same premises as Nic Instruments Johannesburg. The primary objective was to create a complete backup service for all our Products with the main thrust on correct installation and application.
Five years later the focus diverted to Electrical and Instrumentation Construction offering complete turnkey packages involving Supply, Installation and Commissioning.
