Murray Clan, Rondebosch

From small and humble beginnings trading from a garage in Lansdowne Road, Lansdowne, the Company has grown and is now situate 121 Milner Road, Rondebosch with a total compliment of 9 personnel.

Some 6 months after commencing trading as a result of the tremendous support that Alistair received from his previous client base, the Company had grown in a very short period of time to handling the insurance affairs of some 500 clients.

This necessitated in employing his brother-in-law, Richard Warrick Neville, who was brought in as a Director and Shareholder of the business to assist in the handling of Claims and the managing of clients’ portfolios.

Having growth necessitated the employment of more staff which resulted in the Company having to seek alternative accommodation which was secured and purchased at 121 Milner Road, Lansdowne and Murray Clan Insurance Brokers moved into their own premises on the 1st June 2002 and have room for expansion within these premises.
During the month of March 2001 Alistair Simpson – Managing Director of Alistair Simpson (Pty) Limited – concluded a Management buy out with his fellow Directors and left the company on the 31st March 2001.
Mandi started in the Insurance Industry in April 1997 with Brokers, Messrs Alistair Simpson (Pty) Limited situate 124 Rosmead Avenue, Kenllworth.

Her main field of experience is Domestic and Motor Insurances. All Domestic clients are personally visited by her to ensure accuracy in completion of documentation and also by way of introducing ourselves to clients.

As a result of her father having concluded a Management Buy-Out with his fellow Directors in April 2001, a decision was made that she would form her own broking operation, which she did on 2nd April 2001.
