Perfect for winter use and when space is at a premium. The epoxy powder coated white folding frame fits flush against the mounting wall when not in use.
Unlike the majority of washline products on the market, our washlines are made from aluminium. Most washing lines are made from steel or galvanized steel which have the potential to rust sooner or later. Aluminium does not rust and it is also very light which makes it extremely easy to operate. Our washing lines are professionally powder coated to provide a very nice weatherproof finish. All of the machine screws used in the assembly of our washing line are stainless steel.

Our most popular seller is our 2, 3 meters long by 80 cm wide. This washing line has 6 lines spaced approx. 10 cm apart and provides approx. 13.5 meters of hanging space. This washing line will accommodate normal queen size fitted sheets and duvet covers without having to fold them back. We have found this washing line to be the ideal size. As a general rule we recommend that you do not go bigger than this. It is much better to purchase a 2nd and even a 3rd washing line should these not provide you with sufficient hanging space. In this way you can place your washing lines strategically to cater for the morning and afternoon sun as well taking into account the rainy season by installing one under cover. To determine what size washing line will fit any particular wall space, measure the length of the wall and subtract approx. 10 cm. Example: If the length of wall is 1, 6 meters long then you could fit a 1, 5 meter washing line in that space very comfortably. We also make up washing lines to spec. So in the case where the wall is only 1, 5 meters long we could make up a 1, 4 meter washing line in order to make full use of the wall space available.
The washing line comes completely assembled and strung and the screws and instruction for fixing it to the wall are supplied. The wall area where the line is to be fitted should ideally be flat and not have any fixtures such as copper pipes or TV cables in the way. Where the wall has obstructions it may be necessary to attach spacer blocks behind the Washline brackets in order to clear these obstructions. The same principle would apply to vibracrete walls where the upright pillars may obstruct the back bar of the Foldaway washline. Spacer blocks are supplied on request.
