Mapungubwe National Park - A brand new National Park with awesome views of the Limpopo River, sensational landscape, stupendous sandstone cliffs, riverine woods, has the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo), and is home to over 90 mammal species and more than 456 species of birds. Additionally, you can access a lifted promenade winding through the woodland to a hide, and viewing decks with incredible vistas overlooking the confluence of the Limpopo and Shashe Rivers where Botswana, Zimbabwe, and South Africa meet.
Mapungubwe World Heritage Site – Offers a tour to Mapungubwe Hill, which is the first African Kingdom that ended in the 13th century, pre-dating Great Zimbabwe. The gold and other artifacts found here proves the kingdom traded with China, India and the Arabic countries of the east during the 13th Century. It is also home to the well renowned “Golden Rhino”, which happens to be South Africa’s crown jewels.
