Montana Mountain Retreat, KROMRIVIER

We are a private mountain retreat nestled about three and a half kilometers up in the Magaliesberg Mountain. We are in the Magaliesberg Protected Nature Environment and overlook the Buffelspoort Dam in the North West Province about 35km from Rustenburg and approximately 1.5hrs from either Johannesburg or Pretoria. We have 8 self-catering, self-contained three-star cottages dotted around the retreat. We offer hiking, hiking and more hiking. There is a magnificent crystal clear swimming pool to lounge around on hot summer days. Montana is the perfect get-away for those seeking peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle and rat-race city life. We don’t allow radios or TV’s, neither do we allow drunken disorder and ask parents with children to keep them under their supervision at all times. Please always consider your neighboring guests who have also come to discover the peace and quiet and sounds of nature.All of the cottages at Montana are three-star and vary in size and situation. You will find a full description of each cottage on our website at www.montanamr.co.za .Each unit has its own outside braai place with your first 10kg of fire wood supplied by us. The gardens are beautifully kept and the views are spectacular. You will have access to about a thousand hectares of hiking in the mountains with streams and mountain pools to cool you off while you calm your mind and soul with the picturesque views and still your stomach with the packed picnic. Then, for those who choose to relax (maybe with a book) there is our swimming pool situated for its view and not too far from the cottages, or you could go for a leisurely walk through the gardens, sit under a tree – contemplate life.
