Millstream, Stellenbosch

Millstream takes its name from the mill-race that drove the watermill in Stellenbosch during the seventeenth century. The stream which has lush tree-lined banks, divides the lanes of traffic and lends a rural air to this part of town.
Visitors cannot believe that such peace and tranquility can exist so close to the town centre. Most amenities are within walking distance: the Van Der Stel sportsfield is a few minutes' walk, town centre with numerous restaurants and shops within ten minutes' walk and the University a similar distance.
