As a Black firm, Manong and Associates has been involved fundamentally in the implementation of the ideals of the RDP, as we find easy access into the affected communities. We speak the language of our beneficiary communities, and the bond that binds us has become even stronger. Thus the company is often faced with demands from community leaders that it be involved in development projects. We are proud of the credibility we have established over the past five years. In Cape Town, our firm has assisted the Cape Town Municipality in the implementation of the Strategic Management Program (SMP), which restored collapsed services and infrastructure in the African townships of Langa, Gugulethu, Nyanga, Philippi, Crossroads, KTC and many other townships. In Thembalethu, George, in the Southern Cape, our firm has been involved in a pilot project of building a Safety and Security Centre.
