Description
Lize is influenced by the work of American Modernists Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko.
Although her work made a transition to abstract, her primary inspiration remained the landscapes of nature and the variations of season, weather, and light.
Her creative process demands a free subconscious, and starting with a general feeling of colour and form, she then lets the painting take its own course. She becomes a tool which manipulates the brush, while some other force within her creates the painting. It is a very mystical experience for her.
