Invariably we will experience trauma at certain times of our lives. This may be something simple and seemingly innocent, such as a baby separated from its mother, or it may be severe, such as hi-jacking, hold-ups, death, suicide, betrayal, loss/grief, abuse, violence, molestation or even rape. But the net effect is the same… our brains are unable to process the information and we get stuck with certain memories and feelings that keep coming up. These interfere with our present behaviour as we try to avoid the same situation again and again. Ultimately we may suffer anger or depression when we cannot resolve the situation and our lives are compromised. Many times people turn to drugs, alcohol or other addictions in order to numb their feelings about the problem. But it does not go away until the issue is faced fairly and squarely, and a new alternative perspective is gained.

I use the following techniques indicated to explore and resolve traumatic memory:

Eye movement therapy (EMT)
Eye movement desensitization and re-processing (EMDR)
Hypnotherapy / clinical hypnosis
Holotropic breathwork/breath therapy
Rebirthing
I run a practice in Plumstead, serving the surrounding areas of Constantia, Wynberg, as well as further afield in Cape Town, Western Cape. I work with individuals as well as doing couple counselling. My approach is holistic in nature. The individual comprises body, mind, feelings and soul. What affects the one, affects the other parts.

I am also certified astrologer, and I use astrology to gain insight into people and situations when requested.
