Kryolan has long been established as the professional make artist's product of choice behind the scenes in Hollywood, Broadway, Bollywood and runways and fashion events around the world. For a long time Kryolan was only available through select group of retailers, and this mostly to the top make up pros, but within the last decade Kryolan has expanded into global retail opening up Kryolan Cities and appointing industry leading agents to assist in expanding its brand, retail and wholesale operations globally.

Kryolan Kzn was launched in December 2013 when Kryolan Germany recognised Aldytha da Silva and her team at Make Up Your Mind Make Up Agency, as being market leaders within the make up, beauty and fashion industry in South Africa. Aldytha has over 20 years experience in make up and has worked on many major fashion events, advertising, campaigns, fashion editorials for major international publications as well as Hollywood movie sets, and several of the major TV shows such as SA Idols and SA X Factor. Aldytha has developed and trained up a team of 12 make up artists who are contracted exclusively to Make Up Your Mind Agency which Aldytha formed in 2000.
