Description
The Kismet Hotel is a one star hotel situated in the CBD of Pietermaritzburg. The hotel was built in 1961 and was designed by Cassemjee for the millenium year. The main feature of the architectural design was that it was built to cater for future expansions of the hotel. This meant that more levels can be added to the present one, which is three levels. The hotel is 5000m2.
Company description
The hotel was taken over by the Chetty family in 1989 and has seen major developments to the hotel for the past 16 years, which included the refurbishment of the hotel in 1989 - 1990. There are 24 rooms, which includes balcony, en suite, showers or baths
The hotel is a member of the following organisatons:
KZN Tourism, KZN Gay & Lesbian Tourism Association, Pietermaritzburg Chamber of Business, Dept of Trade & Industry and Proudly South Africa. We also support the following charities:
Pietermaritzburg Community Chest, KZN Blind & Deaf Society and East Coast Radio/Cell C Toy Story.
