Working with young children calls for very special qualities, responsibilities and characteristics. Remember that the children’s minds are still very young, innocent and receptive to everything you do. At this stage of their lives you easily make or break them. Always remember the following:

Strive to provide a conducive environment that stimulates young children to play and learn
Be committed to your work and have knowledge on aspects and issues that can be discussed with children
Be ready and willing at all times to learn new skills and improve your knowledge
Everybody makes a contribution; be friendly and supportive to your colleagues, parents and their children
Keep fit: mentally and physically in order to meet the children’s rigorous demands
Do not bring dangerous weapons, harmful of intoxicating stuff or engage in any kind of aggressive behaviour.
