Description
At Kalcon we cast our slabs in-situ, which means it is cast into its form on site. The formwork for this is done by erecting scaffolding, that covers the area of the building that requires a slab.
After the formwork has been erected, the slab is then leveled to ensure that the ceiling of the slab is level. The steel is then fixed according to engineers specifications, after which the appointed electrician and plumber will install their boxes and pipes. The slab is then ready to be cast, usually by means of a concrete pump.
