Icon is bad news. They knocked on my mom's door a few years ago and convinced her to let them switch from ADT to them on the spot. She has dementia and thought they were from ADT and were doing an update. We tried to get it reversed because of her mental state, but they would not let her out the contract. Now she's in assisted living and her house is vacant. A couple weeks ago her house was broken into. Icon received a "no power" signal but did NOTHING about it, even though they'd been getting a "low battery" signal for a month. Their explanation was that the box had a low battery message, which means nothing if the house is vacant, and that they are following "industry standards". So don't go on vacation or leave your house vacant if you have Icon security, and don't rely on them to respond if thieves break in and rip the box off the wall.
