HORTENSIA LODGE is located less than 1 km from the Hermanus Waterfront featuring shops and boutiques, restaurants and cocktail bars, the Old Harbor Museum and the Whale House. Fernkloof Nature Reserve, mountain trails and vineyards, endless white sand beaches and the estuary of the Klein River are but 5 minutes by car. The large grounds of HORTENSIA LODGE are an oasis in the village. Blooming shrubs and manicured lawns are a delight to the senses. Hortensias (hydrangea hortensis) are blooming in profusion during the summer months The public rooms are spacious and well appointed. All bedrooms have access to the gardens. Two of the larger garden rooms offer the possibility for a third person on a sleeper couch' AND YOU AWAKE IN THE MORNING TO BIRD SONGS AND NOT TO TRAFFIC NOISE.
