Description
Get your child on a horse. Private afternoon equi-therapy or riding lessons for toddlers and adults in Pretoria East. We take therapeutic horse riding to your school.
We welcome Claire Gschwend who has started teaching at Horse Dynamics since February 2010. She is offering general riding and dressage lessons to clients on Saturday and Wednesday mornings. Claire has been giving group and individual horse riding lessons for 14 years at various yards in Pretoria, concentrating on jumping and dressage instruction.

In Equi-therapy, the therapist, the leaders, the ponies and preschoolers all form the therapy team. Each member of the team plays a unique role to ensure the child receives the best and most effective treatment. Our therapy process includes teaching them horse-riding skills.
The preschoolers participate in a group therapy session that is generally divided into a walk; carry over into a functional activity for the week and a slow trot.
The therapist's role is to assist with mounting & dismounting procedures, to supervise the ponies' activity during treatment and to orchestrate therapy for the child on the horse.
The leader is very horse knowledgeable and maintains control of the ponies' movement as directed by the therapist. He provides stability to the child and help with exercises as directed by the therapist.
The pony provides a consistent and rhythmic movement pattern that facilitates the treatment goals, which are crucial to the child’s success.
