Curriculum 2005 was implemented in Grade Eight in 2002. This means that students will continue with the eight learning areas which they experienced when they were in Grade Seven. Included in the academic curriculum offered to pupils from Grades Ten to Twelve are the Arts, Languages, Commerce and the Sciences.
As part of our enrichment programme, the school participates in a significant number of international examinations, (at junior and senior level) and national olympiads, competitions and eisteddfods. As part of our academic support programme, for those who are struggling with their academic work, we offer specialised clinics where tuition with professional teaching staff is offered or a peer tutoring programme, where senior students assist those who are struggling with aspects of the curriculum.

It was founded in September 1885, and has provided more than a hundred years of excellent service to the community. Situated in the southern suburbs below Table Mountain, the school caters for pupils from Grades Eight to Twelve and offers full and weekly boarding facilities for eighty-four pupils.
