South Africa's unique heritage is not only captured in our buildings and monuments, but is also reflected in our soil, captured in our people and imprinted in the variety of our fauna and flora that flourishes in abundance against breathtaking landscapes.
The Eastern Cape primarily lends itself as a rich and diverse natural playground, having the dramatic Karoo to one side, the magnificent Sunshine Coast to the other, the largest malaria-free big seven game reserve The Greater Addo National Park, the world heritage site Baviaanskloof, as well as the many settlers towns with their authentic stories.
Kirkwood, set on the banks of the Sundays River, is best known for its citrus industry, Jansenville has its Mohair and Ostrich farming, Graaff- Reinet with its ornate settler buildings and Valley of Desolation and the Owl House in Nieu Bethesda are but a few amongst many of these unspoiled, under-commercialized sites in the Eastern Cape, where a short visit treks us back in time to appreciate and embrace our rich history and culture.
