Dear Georgie, We have noted your complaint, It is with sadness that we acknowledge that you did not enjoy your adventure. Riding an animal is always an unpredictable situation its not as if we are on mechanical bulls, they respond to their riders. In this instance you rode lacy, 5 year old children train on this pony she is the mildest pony at Heavenly Stables. On Beach riding adventures we ask our guests to obey all instructions this would include riding in formation and not entering into a faster pace it is specifically for the safety of the other guests that are beginner riders. We do occasionally get requests from guests such as yourself to up the pace in which case we ask that you ride away from the group at your own risk we do not want the other riders to be put into a position of risk at Heavenly Stables we take safety very seriously. On your pony you had a safety stirrup which is in accordance with our high safety standards, it designed to release from your saddle to prevent you from being dragged behind a running horse should you fall. Against advice you and your friend wanted to have the advanced package experience, this is for advanced rides to canter on the beach. Clearly this incident you wrote about is an example of what happens when riders claim to be advanced and are sadly not. We at Heavenly pride ourselves in delivering a safe exciting adventure for our guests its sad to note that despite your booking for an advanced ride you were regrettably not at that standard, it really important to be 100% honest when stating your horsemanship skills.
