How we started

Brothers-in-law, Dirk Kirton, owner of Good News Electrical and JD Jordaan, owner of Off Grid Construction, discussed how to create a sustainable business in this tough economy.

Building, renovating and maintenance are often moved to the bottom of the to-do list when looking at cost reduction.
Our families joined forces to bring the prices down. We are willing to do more for less. We will not compromise the quality of our service; we’re too proud to do anything less than our best.

What we do

Dirk is a certified red seal electrician with more than 26 years’ experience in the industry from residential to industrial level. JD studied Farm management and wood production, he has more than 19 years’ experience in the construction industry managing projects up to $5M internationally.

We specialise in electrical, plumbing, roofing, building maintenance, installations and renovations of which both Dirk and JD have extensive experience in.

We are serious about quality. Our teams are hand-picked to get the job done properly and within budget.

Our Handy Family is supported by two awesome wives who maintain order and control, doing the books and bookings.
