I had a disappointing experience at the FNB Eloff branch. The consultant immediately informed me that I would need to pay R73 per month for an account without first asking which type of account I wanted to open. I was also told that choosing either a funeral policy or airtime was compulsory, rather than optional. Fortunately, their system was offline at the time, so I decided to leave and said I will return during my lunch break. After thinking about the interaction, I chose not to go back and instead visited the FNB Bank City branch. The difference in service was remarkable. The staff at Bank City were professional, helpful, and transparent. They explained everything clearly and informed me that I only needed R10 to activate my card. The entire process was simple and stress-free. Based on my experience, FNB Bank City provided excellent customer service, while the information I received at the Eloff branch was misleading and left me feeling frustrated.
