Fairways Primary School, Johannesburg

Locatedin between Houghton, Sandton On 5th December 1966 a meeting was held at the Wanderers Club and served as the inaugural meeting of prospective parents of the new Fairways Primary School At this time Mrs M de Villiers was the acting principal who took on the responsibility of addressing the gathering, outlining details of the scope of the school and some of the prospects that could have been anticipated January 1967 saw Fairways Primary School open unfinished doors to approximately 130 learners ranging from Grade 1 to Grade 4 Most of these learners were drawn from school in the area ie Houghton, Bramley, HA Jack, Rosebank Mrs M de Villiers and her staff of 5 educators laboured under innumerable challenges to set Fairways Pri.
