Eezi Move, Brackenfell

I have, in 7 moves over a period on 35 years, never seen so much damage to furniture during relocation. The staff were extremely unprofessional. Apart from all the scratches on almost all my furniture, they managed to: break pieces of wood from my bookshelf with the wood shavings still on the bookshelf after they offloaded; bend the legs of my bed's base; shaved the handles from my fridge; the white enamel was shaved off both sides of the fridge, as well as the front and one side of my washing machine; force boxes into my wall unit in boxes with the black paint from the wall unit on it; force the bowl of my lawn mower into my clothes basket so that it broke, etc. The list is endless. I have, in 7 moves over a period on 35 years, never seen so much damage to furniture during relocation. I have logged a formal complaint with the complaints department and submitted photographic evidence of the damage caused to 12 furniture pieces, which is just the tip of the iceberg, as I can count on one hand the number of items which have no damage. The response to my complaint was "It Is with a heavy heart that we hereby inform you that we will not be accepting liability for the damages communicated to us." On their website, they state that "All Eezi Move trucks are equipped with packer blankets." to protect your load. This is not true. I have 4 witnesses who can testify that not a single blanket was used to protect any furniture. The staff were extremely unprofessional and asked for "Christmas boxes" on arrival, which continued while they were loading. Before they left, they said since I did not provide "Christmas boxes" at the loading point, they wanted "New Years" when they offload. If I did not think that any person could be so vindictive, I would have said the damage was done on purpose because I did not want to give in to their demands (because that is what it was) for "Christmas boxes" and "New Years". It started raining while they off-loaded at the destination, and I asked them to cover the furniture while it was being transported on the shuttle that I provided and they simply ignored me. So I have water damage as well on most of my wooden furniture. Apart from all the scratches on almost all my furniture, they managed to: • break pieces of wood from my bookshelf with the wood shavings still on the bookshelf after they offloaded; • bend the legs of my bed's base; • shaved the handles from my fridge that it looks as if it has been sanded with a machine to make it fit and the shavings were still visible on the door handles where it was sc****d off; • the white enamel was shaved off both sides of the fridge, as well as the front and one side of my washing machine; • they forced boxes into my wall unit which resulted (apart from the damage to the wall unit), in boxes with the black paint from the wall unit on it which proves that they boxes were forced into the wall unit; • the wood shavings were still on most of the furniture where it was damaged; • forced the bowl of my lawn mower into my clothes basket so that I needed help to get it out again - needless to say with damage to the clothes basket; etc. etc. etc. The list is endless. I would never have thought that it could be so "eezi" to damage furniture that you are entrusted with without blinking an eye. If you have a booking with them, I would strongly suggest that you cancel it immediately.
