Subject: Extremely Dissatisfied with Services Provided by Dr. Leana van Dyk To whom it may concern, The recent experience with Dr. Leana van Dyk's practice has been profoundly disappointing, and based on this experience, one would not recommend Dr. Leana van Dyk or any general pediatrics services associated with the practice. The lack of communication and transparency surrounding the consultation on April 19, 2024, is particularly concerning. Despite efforts to confirm the appointment through email, no response was received, which is deemed unprofessional. Furthermore, the consultation occurred without the biological father's presence for the second time, raising significant questions about the integrity of the assessments conducted. There are serious concerns regarding the influence by his mon may have had on my son, with evidence suggesting potential coaching to protect specific interests. As the biological father of my son, there is a right to be involved in all decisions regarding his medical care and treatment. However, it appears this right was disregarded, with a blatant disregard for legal requirements and ethical guidelines. It is the opinion that Dr. Leana van Dyk did not adhere to the code of conduct and ethical guidelines to ensure the well-being and safety of Shawn Rudolf. Due to these concerns, a report has been made to Fraud & Ethics at Mediclinic, and a complaint has been lodged with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). In conclusion, the experience with Dr. Leana van Dyk's practice has been highly unsatisfactory, and it is advised to seek alternative pediatric care services. Immediate action is required to address these concerns and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards.
