Company description
Chemotherapy (also called chemo) is a form of cancer treatment that involves the use of drugs to destroy cancer cells. The Apheresis unit is used for collecting haematological stem cells in the peripheral blood to be used in bone marrow transplants. A basic blood analysis measures the sugar level, electrolyte and fluid balance, as well as kidney function. The unit has a dedicated isolation facility for neutropaenic patients and those undergoing a Bone Marrow Transplant.
