Dr. Johann de Wet is an internationally experienced skin specialist and registered dermatologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa, who specialises in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. De Wet is founder of The Dermatology and Skin Cancer Institute based in Stellenbosch. He provides both adult and paediatric patients with evidence-based, competent and compassionate care, grounded in preventative education-based consultation and treatment utilising the most medically advanced techniques.

In 2002, Dr. De Wet qualified as medical doctor at the University of the Free State and initially practiced family medicine. In the UK, he gained experience in both the private and public health sectors. He moved to Canada where he specialised in Family Medicine with certification from the Canadian College of Family Physicians. In addition, during this time, he held an academic appointment at the University of Calgary as clinical lecturer.
